Sports Digest: Maine Celtics roll to win over Westchester Knicks

Nimas Kuta, Jay Davison and DJ Steward had double-doubles as the Maine Celtics beat the Westchester Knicks 130-100 in NBA G-League action Sunday at the Portland Expos. Kota finished with 24 points, 15 rebounds and five assists for Maine, snapping a two-game losing streak. Davison had 23 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists, and Steward had 21 points and 12 rebounds. Drew Patterson and Jordan Walsh scored 16 points each, while Brandon Slater scored 10 points. Charlie Brown Jr and Brandon Goodwin scored 24 points each for Westchester, reaching the goal.

NBA: The NBA announced that Miami’s Jimmy Butler and New Orleans’ Najeeb Marshall were suspended for one game for brawling on the field. The incident happened on Friday evening during the Heat-Pelicans game.
