Cameron Sutton wanted in battery case; police can’t find Lions CB

Cameron Sutton

A Florida sheriff’s office is looking for Cameron Sutton, a player for the Detroit Lions. Cameron Sutton is sought after by the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office about a domestic violence incident that took place on March 7 just before five in the morning. The 29-year-old cornerback is sought on a charge of domestic violence by strangulation, according to records from the sheriff’s office. According to Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office Chief Communications Officer Amanda Granit. The event happened in a house in the Lutz neighborhood, north of Tampa, Florida.

“We found that a male had been involved in an emotional argument involving a mature female at the home,” Granit explained. “That’s the emotional fight evolved to a physical altercation where the victim sustained multiple injuries to her head, her neck, her shoulders, and that sparked the 911 call that came from that home.” Ever since, the authorities have been attempting to find Cameron Sutton . I think he drives a Jeep Grand Wagoneer with license plate FL-AZ33QB. “It has been reported that the man has a home in a Tampa county that is close by. We’ve contacted them there and on his mobile phone through an attorney,” Granit added. “He may be in Florida, he could have grown up in Michigan.”

The Detroit Lions released the following statement about Cameron Sutton warrant:

We discovered Cameron Sutton continuous legal troubles this morning. We’ll continue to monitor the situation and won’t be releasing any additional remarks at this time. After six seasons in Pittsburgh, Cameron Sutton played 17 games for the Lions in his debut season in Detroit last year. In 2023, the cornerback had 65 tackles and one interception against Dan Campbell’s squad. Domestic abuse does not have an address in our neighborhood or any community,” Granit stated. “No one is above the law, regardless of who they are. And that’s the takeaway for us today: Cameron Sutton must surrender, and we must investigate everything that happened on the 7th.” It is requested that anybody with information on  Sutton whereabouts call the sheriff’s office at 813-247-8200.
