It’s at last arrived! The first official images from the much anticipated Beetlejuice sequel were shown on Wednesday. They include the return of numerous well-known characters as well as the debut of two new ones. We have finally seen Michael Keaton reprising his role as Beetlejuice after more than thirty years, complete with a scary wig and grease paint: Two new pictures from Tim Burton’s forthcoming sequel, Beetlejuice were revealed by Warner Bros. today. In the first, Keaton dons the traditional jail-striped outfit of the role and flashes his signature gritty smile. In a funereal atmosphere, Winona Ryder plays Lydia, Catherine O’Hara plays Delia, Jenna Ortega plays Astrid, and Justin Theroux plays Rory in the second picture. Willem Dafoe, Arthur Conti, and Monica Bellucci are among the other recent additions to the cast.
The storyline?
The Deetz family returns to Winter River in three generations following an unanticipated family tragedy. Astrid, Lydia’s rebellious teenage daughter. Finds the enigmatic town model in the attic and unintentionally opens the door to the Afterlife. Completely upending Lydia’s world—she is still plagued by Beetlejuice. It’s just a matter of time before someone utters Beetlejuice’s name three times, at which point the mischievous demon will return to wreak havoc of his own. Trouble is building in both realms.
