Coinbase Users See a $0 Balance After The Crypto-Trading App Suffers a Glitch?

Coinbase

A bug in the Coinbase app on Wednesday left many users unable to see their balances when opening their accounts. Bitcoin, which hit its highest level since November 2021, was down about $2,800, or more than 4 per cent, by midday EST. “We understand that some users have lost balance in their Coins accounts and made errors in their transactions and sales,” Coinbase said in a statement to CNBC. “Our staff is looking into the situation and will update you shortly. Your belongings are secure.”

Coinbase recommends checking the software status page. One user sent CNBC a screenshot of their $0.00 account balance. They soon receive a message titled “Site Outage,” indicating that the company is investigating the matter. On Wednesday, Bitcoin crossed the $60,000 mark for the first time since 2021 on a long-term basis, bringing its total market capitalization to $1.2 billion. Coinbase has finally released an update on this issue.
