Romanian court approves request to extradite Andrew Tate

British requests for the extradition of online celebrity Andrew Tate have been granted by a Romanian court, although the action will not take place until the trial has concluded in Romania. According to the court’s Tuesday announcement, Andrew Tate and his sibling Tristan ought to be taken out of police custody right away. A verdict on the British arrest warrant had kept the Andrew Tate in custody for a whole day. “The Rules for carrying out the warrant for arrest and to delay handing to the demanded subject before the final decision in the criminal matter is presented at the Romanian court,” the tribunal of appeals stated in a statement.

According to Andrew Tate PR staff, he through his brother Tristan “categorically” reject any sexual assault incidents that may have occurred between 2012 and 2015. On Monday night, they were placed under arrest.

The London Westminster Magistrates Court issued the warrant. Andrew Tate declared, “We are innocent men, we are very innocent men, and in time everyone is going to see that. We are very excited to finish this judicial process and clear our names,” as he was led out of police custody.

It’s hilarious since I’ve been requesting that Romanian courts travel to the United Kingdom. I got to go home now that I’ve asked five times and been turned no. That’s wonderful news,” he exclaimed. The Andrew Tate were a part of an ongoing investigation into claims of rape and human trafficking. British police said Reuters, adding that they were collaborating with Romanian authorities.

These accusations have been refuted by them.

Since then, the matter has been under the preliminary chamber of the Bucharest court. Which must determine whether the trial may begin or not. Considering the backlog in Romanian courts, a decision has not yet been made. To keep the Andrew Tate brothers from leaving the nation or tampering with evidence. They were detained in police custody from late December 2022 until April. While the criminal investigation was ongoing. Up until August, they were subjected to house arrest. Since then, they’ve been placed under court control, a less stringent preventive measure that entails routine police check-ins.  But yet allows them to travel around freely—with the exception of leaving the nation.
